New NHL Playoffs Betting Insight

Greetings and thank you for taking the time to read this. I have not written any handicapping articles lately as I have been busy doing other things. For those of you who haven't figured it out already I don't make any money from this site. So if you want more consistent handicapping insight I can eMail you every night after I take in the new NHL playoff games I will provide you with a complete analysis of what I saw and anticipate to happen in the future. I'll even do it for free, but I need you to eMail me to let me know if somebody is actually reading this stuff. So send an eMail to bigd0gg@kingofpicks.com and copy and paste this subject so I notice it "I WaNt MoRe oF YoUr NeW NhL PlAyOff HaNdiCapPing!". I get alot of spam eMails from unscrupulous types who got my eMail address from the contact us and have been spamming me ever since. Now on with the show,

Canadiens @ Hurricanes
This series is a story of the road team. Canadiens opened the series by winning the first 2 in Carolina and than Carolina came into Montreal and took the next 2 at the Bell Centre. Hurricanes knocked Saku Koivu out of the lineup with careless use of the stick by Justin Williams. No penalty called on the play. The referees would continue to give penalty after penalty to Montreal. Only for Montreal is lose in overtime after a penalty is called on les Canadiens Tomas Plekanec. On the ensuing power play Carolina would score the game winner after Sheldon Souray broke his stick, Bonk gave Souray his stick but no inefective with no stick covering the point. Canadiens were leading the whole game and Rod BrindAmour managed to skate hard for a puck, get by Souray and take a one handed swat at the puck was found it's way through Huets pads. That was game 3.

Game 4 was a different story. Canadiens played disciplined and did not find their way into the box very often. Neither team did, the game went by the first period without a penalty. Hurricanes dominated the first period scoring 2 in the first. Canadiens came back in the second scoring at the end of a 5 on the advantage. Rod BrindAmour actually got a breakaway only to be stoned by Huet on the Canadiens 5 on 3 powerplay. Canadiens squandered the entire 5 on 3 powerplay but Sheldon Souray rocketed a shot past Cam Ward seconds after the Hurricanes first penalty had expired. There was contreversy in this one, Hurricanes scored a called that was called back but they scored the enventual game winner on a similar play where they had a player in the crease all over Huet. The referees look extremely incompetant in these new NHL playoffs. Andrei Markov got a stick to the face from Justin Williams with no penalty called. Craig Rivet got a stick to the neck from Doug Weight after the whistle had gone. No penalty. The Hurricanes are carelessly using the stick and not getting called for it. As Lindy Ruff would say, "it's a joke".

So the series is tied 2 games a piece and tonight at 7:30pm the Canadiens and Hurricanes play in Raleigh. Canadiens have lost 2 straight and no doubt will be extremely hungry. The Hurricanes have changed their style of game in the past 2 games, playing defensively. I expect this game to be very defensive, this game should go under. Huet has been solid all series. Cam Ward has looked solid as well. Canadiens are having trouble scoring and Huet holding the Hurricanes at bay. As for the moneyline, you have to go with les Canadiens. They are +170 dogs. The series is tied 2-2 so clearly any team is capable on winning on any given night. Carolina may have the momentum right now but the road team was won every game in this series. Laying the juice her is foolist, take the +170 and keep your fingers crossed.

Like I stated earlier, if you want more analysis by eMail follow the directions are the very beginning of this article. Good luck and go habs.
